COLLEGE FASHION

Updated: Nov 18, 2018

Helloo girls,

Aren’t you excited about starting your college and also about the fact that there is not going to be any more of the uniform restriction? You can simply wear whatever you want to and there won’t be any teacher complaining about the length of your skirt or the way your hair is made. It is a whole new experience and you’re definitely going to love it!

But as the days pass by, you’ll find yourself standing in front of your almirah every morning and figuring out what to wear and think to yourself that maybe the uniform system was better!

Don’t worry, I’ve compiled a list of a few looks and some essentials that you should already have in your wardrobe that would make your life easier!

P.S- These are my personal favourite and I could wear them to college too! So yeah..And I’ve also mentioned where I’ve purchased these pieces from. So you can just click on the text to view it.

Pairsss of Jeans

Yess, not a pair of jeans but pairsss of jeans. Black, white, blue are the three! Though you can have variations like black knee slit like the one I’m wearing below or ripped jeans!

You can pair it with any top. I paired it with a white cold shoulder embroidered top and a pastel pink sling bag with loafers.

2. Have the Basicss

Having basic tops in your closet is always a go-to option in terms of haste. When you can’t figure out what to wear, you can always rely on such tops to come to your rescue!

3. Backpack

Keeping a nice backpack is always handy! With a decent sized bag, you can always trust it to keep all your stuff and not disappoint you.

4. Flannel

You might think having this kind of a shirt might be something you may not ever use but having a checked shirt or flannel allows you to create a number of looks and give a different perspective to it every time. You can play around with styles and pair a flannel with a black skater skirt like I showed below and the result surely isn’t disappointing!

5. Let’s dress up!

A casual dress is always a good yet comfortable option to wear to college. If you think that a dress might look a little too fancy, then a shirt dress is definitely a right choice for you!

6. Tote Bag

Sometimes, when your backpack just can’t fit in your things, and you need a bigger sized sling bag or a side bag then tote bags are the answer! Of course, you’ll buya lott of bags throughout your college life. But there has to be one such bag that can be your best friend.

7. Put the Converse or your Sneaky foot forward

On a casual day when you don’t feel like wearing something fancy you can depend on your converse or sneakers to save you the trouble and have a casual yet comfortable time in college!

8. Denim Pride

Denim is never out of fashion and it also promises you a variety of looks. If you don’t want to wear a denim shirt like a regular one, you can go all black and use it as a jacket and pair it with a converse and carry a bag to stuff all your stuff inside.

9. Some formality is always there

It is always a wise decision to keep a set of formals which you can also mix and match with your jeans or a casual top. Personally, I’m a kind of person who generally doesn’t keep formals handy because I always think it may never come to use. However, having an option available to you is better than regretting it until the last moment.

10. A Go-to Kurti

Every desi girl needs that one kurti that always has her back! You can wear these with jeans, leggings, palazzos and look your ethnic best. Pair it with jhumkas and ethnic sandals or kolhapuri flats and you’re ready to make a statement!
