YOUR GUIDE TO EFFORTLESSLY SHINE THIS DIWALI

The festive season has begun and the aura is everywhere. Has it reached you yet and are you festival ready?

Well, if you can't figure out what to wear this Diwali or need some inspirations to up your game, you've come to the right place.

Diwali, the festival of lights, is one of the most significant festivals in the Indian culture. It marks new beginnings, the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness. To celebrate, houses are decorated with candles and colourful lights,  huge firework displays are held while families feast and share gifts.

Meanwhile, on such a big occasion how can we forget about dressing up?

This season is all about Indo- Western clothing, fusion attires, and reflection of your personality through your outfits.

In this post, I'll take you through 5 different outfit and styling ideas that you can effortlessly own this Diwali.

Psst, Some of these could already be there in your wardrobe but you might not have 'mixed and matched' it before and by doing this you can have a brand new outfit ready without having to spend that extra cash!

So, let's seeee how

Look 1

Crop Tops and Long Skirts

Crop tops are a western rage and we all have at least one in our closet. How about pairing it with a long printed skirt and accessorizing it with a beautiful and trendy neckpiece and earrings and woah you're ready. It's so quick yet so comfortable and elegant.

If you have any dark coloured embroidered or embellished top, you can also pair those with your skirt. The reason I prefer dark coloured and especially black, is because it tends to enhance the colour and look of your skirt giving your outfit a trendier and modern look.

Look 2-

The Kurti Dress

Like a dress is never just a dress, similarly, a kurti can serve you more purposes as well. If you have a long about-ankle length kurti, you can wear it as a maxi dress. Just put on your kurti , accessorise it with your earrings and you're readyyy. Basic, classic and chic.

Look 3-

Fusion Saree

Yeah we all know what's a saree but what's a fusion saree?

So how about wearing a saree without a blouse but a blazer or a half jacket. Grab a contrasting coloured half jacket or blazer and team it with your favourite saree. You can also fasten a belt around your waist and create a new style statement.

Look 4-

Wrap the Dhoti

Take that conventional saree-blouse set and wrap it around in an uncoventional dhoti manner and don't forget to accessorise it with your jhumkas and bangles, and you're all set to turn heads with this easy to handle dhoti saree.

You can also wear an already draped and stitched saree outfits that are available, if you aren't that comfortable in wearing a saree.

Look 5-

Make your Layering game strong

How about a Kurti over a Maxi dress? Yes, that is a possible combination.

If you have a front button-up kurti, then you can open all its buttons and make it like a jacket for your maxi dress. So all you need to do is find a maxi dress or maybe a long kurti that can go well with your kurti turned jacket and layer it.
