Your style guide to look glamorous this Navratri

This Navratri be different and let your style speak for you!

Navratri is one of the most prominent Hindu festivals in India which is celebrated with great vigor and enthusiasm. The sound of the celebration of this festive season is not only restricted to India but has also crossed boundaries with every Indian residing outside the country.

This festival is all about colourful ghagaras, shimmery cholis and oxidized jewelry. Navratri has already arrived and is all set to spread its chaos, but are you ready to upp your style game?

In this post, I have curated 5 looks, especially for you to be as festive as your mood. Apart from these, you can also tag me in your #navratrilook and get a chance to be featured on my Instagram stories, all you need to do is use #navratritfb on your Instagram post and subscribe to my blog.

Look 1-

Be playful with your traditional embroidered jacket. Pair your black tank top and dhoti pants with a embroidered jacket and accessorize it well with bangles and ethnic jewelry. Add a fun element to it with the combination of season favourite pom-poms and classic jootis.

Look 2-

This season if you don’t feel like wearing a lehenga every time, you can also pair your jacket with a plain solid coloured skirt to give a different look. If you have any zip up ethnic jacket, it could double up for your top and all you need to do is put on some statement earrings, a maang-tika and you’re ready to go!

Look 3-

Navratri isn’t complete without the favourite lehenga choli. This style needs no description. Put on your favourite colorful lehenga and accessorize it well with kamarbandh, bangles, earrings and anything you feel could go with the outfit. Also, the reason I’m talking about accessories constantly is that without these none of your Navratri outfit can look complete.

Look 4-

If you’re the kind who doesn’t want to go into traditional Indian style and prefer having slightly more comfort and feel like infusing your Western style with your Navratri outfits, there’s something for you as well!

You can give a new twist to a beautifully embroidered dupatta by pairing it with your everyday basic white top – blue jeans combo. All you need to do is drape your dupatta across your shoulder and secure it with a kamarbandh which can also be one of your attention-grabbing accessory. You can also choose to wear larger sized earrings and bangles to complete your look. With such an outfit you can wear the pom pom sandals which could add the perfect amount of colour to your look.

Look 5-

Saree? Not Saree. Half Saree is another way to rock your Indo Western look. Wrap a colourful dupatta like a saree over your basic black and blue and once again, accesorisee it with your oxidised jewelry – kamarbandh, necklace, maangtika, earrings, and you have a comfortable yet trendy look ready!

So I’d love to know what’s your favourite look?
